Recommended: Standard Garage System

The classic, highly durable build. Start with our Moisture Seal Epoxy Primer to lock into the concrete, followed by our Epoxy Floor Topcoat for a thick, solid-color wear layer.

LA Climate & Slab Prep Guidance

Los Angeles has diverse microclimates—from coastal humidity in the South Bay to dry heat in the Valley. Here is how to adjust your installation.

Temperature Control

  • Always check your specific product's minimum/maximum application temperature on the official product's TDS.
  • In warm summer weather (especially in the Valleys), epoxy has a shorter working time. Mix smaller batches.
  • Avoid applying coatings in direct, baking sunlight. Keep surface temperatures and humidity stable.

Moisture Matters

  • If your slab is new, below-grade, or near the coast, consider running an ASTM F2170 (RH test) before coating.
  • High moisture vapor transmission can cause coatings to lift and failures.
  • Read our guide: Moisture under epoxy floors.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I pick up my epoxy order in Los Angeles?

Yes! If you need your materials immediately, we offer a convenient local pick-up option at our Long Beach warehouse located at 721 W 14th Street, Long Beach, CA, 90813.

Do you ship epoxy floor coating kits to Los Angeles?

Yes, if you prefer delivery, we ship our direct-to-consumer floor coating systems to Los Angeles County and other places in USA.

Epoxy vs polyaspartic topcoat — which is better for LA garages?

If you want to park your vehicle back in the garage quickly and need maximum resistance to hot-tire pickup and UV rays (from open garage doors), a polyaspartic topcoat is generally the preferred choice. Standard epoxy is an excellent, budget-friendly option.

Do I need a primer on my concrete floor?

For the strongest bond, yes. A primer penetrates the concrete pores to prevent peeling and helps mitigate moisture vapor issues. We strongly recommend our Moisture Seal Primer as the first step for all flooring projects.

How do I know if my concrete is too wet to coat?

If your slab is new, below grade, or near the coast, you should perform an ASTM F2170 relative humidity test. Always follow the specific moisture limits outlined in the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) of your chosen coating.

When can I walk or drive on the floor?

Cure times vary strictly by product and application temperature. For example, our Polyaspartic Topcoat may allow foot traffic in as little as 5-7 hours, while standard epoxy takes 24 hours. Always refer to the official product TDS for specific return-to-service windows before parking.
