Start with your space
A useful starting point, in two choices.
You do not need to know every product yet. Start with the floor and finish, then check the slab, exposure, and compatible layers before ordering.
Planning guidance for materials. Your final system still depends on the floor.

The layers work together
Know what goes into your floor.
Preparation, primer, a base or decorative layer, and a compatible final finish each have a job. A top coat alone does not replace the layers below it.
01 / Foundation
High-Performance Epoxy Primer
Starts the coating system on properly prepared concrete. Check moisture conditions and product limits before application.
For: the prepared slab below your coating.
02 / Epoxy layer
Epoxy Floor Topcoat
A clear floor epoxy that can also be used with compatible pigments for decorative layers. Follow the specified build and recoat instructions.
For: clear, solid-color, or decorative epoxy plans.
03 / Clear protection
UltraShield Polyaspartic
A UV-stable clear final coat over compatible floor systems. Review the application window and full system cure before returning to use.
For: clear protection over a compatible base or design.
How much material will you need?
Measure the actual floor area, then account for each layer, surface texture, thickness, and application loss. Kit counts are estimates.
Before coating day
Give the floor beneath it some attention.
For an LA project, plan around the conditions at your slab. Room temperature alone does not tell you everything about moisture, surface heat, or the existing finish.
Check the existing surface.
Identify old paint, sealers, oil, cracks, and loose material. Clean and mechanically prepare the concrete to the requirements of the chosen system.
Check moisture and conditions.
Use the moisture evaluation and application limits specified for the products. A moisture-control primer does not remove the need to assess the slab.
Plan every coat and the cure.
Stage tools before mixing, follow recoat windows, and allow the full system to reach its stated vehicle-traffic readiness. Initial cure is a different milestone.
Read the Safety Data Sheets for all components and follow the specified protective equipment and ventilation requirements.

Before you order
A few questions you may be weighing up.
Can I pick up an order today?+
Pickup is available at 721 W 14th Street, Long Beach, CA 90813. Please contact us first to confirm stock, readiness, and timing. Do not plan a same-day trip until the team confirms your pickup.
Do you ship floor coating kits to Los Angeles?+
Yes. Standard shipping is free on all U.S. orders. Allow 1-3 business days for processing and an estimated 2-7 business days in transit after dispatch. See the Shipping Policy for details.
Is POURLA the installation contractor?+
POURLA supplies the coating materials and can make a free introduction to a vetted independent installer, subject to availability. You agree the installation scope, price, and schedule directly with the installer.
Should I choose epoxy or a polyaspartic top coat?+
Start with the complete system and how the floor will be used. Epoxy can form a base, decorative layer, or clear finish as specified. UltraShield is a UV-stable clear final coat over compatible layers. Consider sunlight, application experience, and the cure schedule for every layer.
Will primer solve a damp concrete problem?+
Evaluate moisture before coating and compare the results with the limits of the proposed system. A primer does not automatically make every damp slab suitable. Send us the slab details and test results if you need help reviewing the options.
Can I coat over old paint or an existing floor finish?+
Only after checking the existing layer is sound, compatible, and prepared as required. Peeling, soft, contaminated, or unknown coatings need investigation before a new layer is applied. Photos and the coating history can help us advise on the next step.
When can I walk or park on the finished floor?+
Follow the current product instructions for every layer and the intended traffic. Initial cure, foot traffic, and vehicle traffic are different milestones. Temperature, thickness, and the layers below the final coat affect the full schedule.
How do I work out the right kit quantities?+
Measure the floor rather than relying on a garage size label. Use the floor calculator as an estimate, then check coverage for each product, surface profile, planned thickness, and normal application loss.
You do not have to figure it out alone
