Polyaspartic Coverage Calculator
Calculate exactly how many kits of UltraShield Polyaspartic you need for your garage top coat. Prevent running short on materials and avoid costly mid-pour delays.
←All Resin CalculatorsThe standard coverage rule for Pourla UltraShield Polyaspartic is 120 to 180 sq.ft. per gallon over a Flake Floor, and 200 to 250 sq.ft. per gallon over a Metallic Floor. Because polyaspartic is sold in 2-Gallon Kits (1 Part A : 1 Part B), a single kit will comfortably cover a standard 1-car garage flake floor (approx. 240-360 sq.ft).

Key Specs from Technical Data Sheet (TDS)
For the best performance, always read all directions before mixing. Here are the core specifications for Pourla Polyaspartic Flooring Top Coat:
| Property | Specification |
|---|---|
| Mix Ratio | 1 Part A : 1 Part B (by weight) |
| Working Time | 30-50 minutes at 77°F (25°C) |
| Walk-on Time (Initial Cure) | 5-7 hours @ 77°F |
| Full Cure (Drive-on) | 24-48 hours @ 77°F |
| Application Temp | 65-75°F (18-24°C) |
Note: The recoat window will vary depending on the material thickness and ambient conditions. Keep air movement to a minimum during application to avoid introducing dust.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does a flake floor need more polyaspartic?
Flake floors have a highly textured and porous surface. The polyaspartic top coat needs to fill the gaps between the vinyl chips to "lock" them in and create a smooth, cleanable surface. Therefore, the spread rate drops to 120-180 sq.ft./gallon, compared to 200-250 sq.ft./gallon over a smooth metallic epoxy base.
How long do I have to roll the polyaspartic?
You have approximately 30 to 50 minutes of working time at 77°F. Polyaspartic cures much faster than traditional epoxy. We highly recommend only mixing what you can comfortably apply within 30 minutes, and having a dedicated team member mixing while another rolls.
When can I park my car on it?
Unlike standard coatings with long downtime, Pourla Polyaspartic is walkable (initial cure) in as little as 5-7 hours. However, for heavy vehicle traffic and to prevent hot tire pickup, you must wait 24 to 48 hours for the chemical cross-linking to reach full cure.
