Flawless Finish. Built for Heavy Traffic.
Pourla Professional Epoxy Top Coat is a two-component, 100% solid, low VOC, clear, glossy epoxy floor coating. Engineered to provide extreme durability, scratch resistance, and chemical defense for your toughest environments.
Why Do You Need a Dedicated Top Coat?
A professional epoxy floor system is only as strong as its final wear layer. While your primer builds the foundation and your base coat provides the color, the Pourla Epoxy Top Coat acts as the ultimate armor.
It is specifically formulated to act as the primary defense against vehicle tires, foot traffic, and heavy equipment. It shields your floors from aggressive spills, including motor oils, gasoline, transmission fluid, and common industrial chemicals.

Best Practices for a Flawless Finish
Prep is Everything
Never apply directly to bare concrete. Ensure your floor has been primed with an Epoxy Primer and that the primer is within its recoat window (tack-free, usually under 48 hours). If applying over an old coating, sand the surface with 80-120 grit paper.
Mixing Discipline
Accurately measure 2 Parts Resin (A) to 1 Part Hardener (B) by volume. Mix using a low-speed drill (300-450 RPM) for at least 3 minutes. Scrape the sides and bottom of your mixing bucket twice to ensure no unmixed resin ruins your finish.
Apply the Top Coat
Immediately pour the mixed epoxy onto the floor in a ribbon pattern. Use a squeegee to spread it evenly, then cross-roll (back-roll) using a 3/8" lint-free microfiber roller to eliminate lines.
Curing Time
Allow the floor to cure undisturbed for 48-72 hours at 77°F before allowing foot traffic. Wait a full 7 days before introducing heavy vehicle traffic or harsh chemical cleaning.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I really need a top coat over my epoxy primer or flakes?
Yes. While base coats provide color and adhesion, they are not formulated to withstand heavy abrasion or tire friction on their own. Our Top Coat adds the crucial scratch-resistant, glossy armor needed to make your floor last.
Can I tint this clear top coat?
Absolutely! This clear 100% solids epoxy is the perfect medium for mixing in solid color pigments or metallic powders to create custom 3D marble effects.
How long is the working time?
You have approximately 25 (±5) minutes of pot life at 77°F. Be sure to mix and immediately pour the epoxy onto the floor to maximize your working time and prevent flash curing in the bucket.
Can I use this over an old painted floor?
We do not recommend applying high-performance epoxy directly over old paint. The epoxy is only as strong as what it sticks to. You should grind off the old paint, apply our Epoxy Primer, and then apply this Top Coat.
