Tony and Zack, the co-founders of Pourla Epoxy, were students at the University of California, Santa Barbara.  Both shared a passion for creating epoxy art, but they were frustrated with the epoxy resins available on the market, which were either subpar or prohibitively expensive. Determined to find a better solution, they set out to develop their own epoxy that would be both higher quality and more affordable. After a year of rigorous testing, they successfully produced their first batch of Pourla epoxy in their garage lab.

2021

The inaugural artwork crafted with Pourla epoxy was an ambitious piece created by Tony, one of Pourla's co-founders. By blending epoxy resin with thousands of shredded scrap papers, Tony transcended the typical 2D canvas, producing a striking 3D artwork rich in texture and depth, and brimming with unique meaning that was deeply personal to him.

2022-2023

After graduating from UCSB, Tony and Zack began supplying their epoxy resin to local artists and craftsmen. The positive feedback they received highlighted the commercial potential of their product. Recognizing this, they decided to create a retail epoxy resin kit, which they planned to sell online.

July, 2024

The first Pourla Epoxy Resin Kit was launched online, reaching millions of artists and DIY enthusiasts around the globe and enabling them to bring their creative visions to life.
