Born from a Passion for Creation
Our Story
At the very beginning, our team began with a simple problem: finding high-quality, affordable resin for creative projects...
Back in 2020, while studying at UC Santa Barbara, we, Tony and Zack were constantly running into this problem. We were passionate about exploring the possibilities of resin, but the limited options were either subpar or ridiculously expensive. We knew there had to be a better way.
So, we decided to take matters into our own hands. Our makeshift garage lab became our creative playground, where we spent countless hours experimenting, testing and tweaking our own epoxy formula.
We were determined to create a resin that was not only easy to use and delivered stunning results but was also accessible to fellow creators. After a year of hard work (and a few messy mishaps!), we finally achieved our goal.
At the beginning of 2025, what started as a passion project began to grow into something much bigger.
As more creators, woodworkers, and contractors started using our resin, we realized that the same approach we used in our garage—testing, refining, and refusing to cut corners—could be applied beyond art projects. Professionals were asking for materials that could handle higher temperatures, heavier use, and more demanding environments.
So we took the next step.
We began developing professional and industrial-grade epoxy systems, focusing on real performance instead of marketing claims. This led to the launch of our Ultra Heat Resistant Epoxy Resin, one of the first products of its kind designed specifically for projects that require extreme heat stability. Soon after, we expanded into professional epoxy flooring solutions, built for durability, clarity, and long-term performance in garages, workshops, and commercial spaces.
Today, Pourla works with creators, contractors, and businesses who rely on epoxy every day. While our products are more advanced, our mindset hasn’t changed. We still test everything ourselves, listen closely to feedback, and build products we would confidently use in our own projects.
